Accredited Bushfire Practitioner and Accredited Building Surveyor
Adrian Armitstead is a highly experienced Bushfire Consultant with over 15 years of expertise in bushfire management planning, town planning, building certification, environmental health, and building surveying. He is recognised for his competence in preparing Compliance Certificates, Bushfire Assessment Reports, and Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) Certificates, as well as providing clear, practical, and professional bushfire advice to clients. Adrian’s strong technical knowledge, combined with his ability to deliver timely and accurate guidance, has made him a valued member of the Bushfire Consulting Services team
Adrian’s qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying, a Graduate Diploma in Bushfire Design in Bushfire Prone Areas, and accreditation as a BPAD Level 2 Certified Practitioner. He has consistently demonstrated his commitment to advancing bushfire management practices, as a member of the Fire Protection Association Australia BPAD Working Group and participating alongside industry peers at major conferences such as the Association of Australian Certifiers annual events. His expertise covers compliance for design and construction in bushfire-prone areas, risk modelling, and bushfire protection design planning, ensuring projects meet both regulatory standards and community safety expectations.
Over the course of his career, Adrian has contributed to a wide range of significant projects, including the Energy Connects infrastructure upgrades at Wentworth and Buronga, school developments in Western Sydney and the Northern Beaches, industrial facilities at Marsden Park, State Significant Infrastructure and High Rise Buildings. His ability to assess complex projects — from residential and educational buildings to large-scale industrial and defence sites — highlights his versatility and dedication to best-practice bushfire planning. With a proven record of supporting safe and sustainable development, Adrian continues to play an integral role in shaping resilient built environments.
