Catherine has over 15 years of experience in the field of bushfire, health and building surveying. Establishing the business in 2010, Catherine works closely with clients to ensure their development complies with all bush fire protection requirements and assists in negotiations with local Councils and Rural Fire Service when required. Catherine works with clients from the planning stage through to completion and provides Certification of the end product.
Having identified a lack of understanding of the complex legislative requirements for bushfire protection, Catherine launched the training arm in 2013 and is proud to include among her clients Architects, Councils and Certifiers from cross the State.

Relevant Projects
> Bushfire Certification of Plans for Construction Certificate
> Prepare bush fire assessment report for the construction, operation and maintenance of a Battery Energy Storage System
> Act as Applicant to Council and use Planning Portal to respond to Council information requests, provide BAL Assessments and advice on material selection, coordinate owner responses to completion of correct forms
> Review of the existing facilities and detailed deign advice for building upgrades and compliance with AS3959 (BAL FZ)
> Identification of bushfire protection strategies and management guidelines to reduce the bushfire risk
> Strategic plan to address key bushfire prevention and management issues for the construction and operation of the facility. Including asset protection zones, emergency procedures, bushfire suppression equipment
> This plan addressed the key fire management issues for the Hospital and recommended implementation of asset protection zones, building construction standards, access design, landscaping guidelines and water supply
